Social Responsibility
School Desk Production
At the end of 2025, AES launched a school desk production project, engaging local artisans and utilizing recycled wood materials. To date, 100 school desks have been manufactured and are scheduled for delivery to a rural school, supporting education while promoting sustainability and local employment.
Afforestation Project
In June 2025, AES launched an afforestation project in the area surrounding its hazardous waste landfill. To date, 200 trees have been planted in the commune of Belo Monte, Cacuaco Municipality, Luanda, contributing to environmental rehabilitation and ecosystem enhancement.
Beach Cleaning
On October 17, 2025, AES participated for the second time in the workshop “The Importance of
Keeping Beaches Clean”. This was followed, on October 18, by participation in the Beach Cleaning
Campaign in Soyo, organized in partnership with Etu Energias, Angola LNG, and Kwanda Base.
During the campaign, more than 5 tons of waste—mostly plastic—were collected, reinforcing AES’s
strong commitment to environmental preservation and sustainability. The initiative represented a
powerful moment of collective action and environmental awareness, bringing together AES
employees and the local community to promote a cleaner and healthier environment.
